It’s a few days back now, but I thought I should pop in a wee post to commemorate the fun that was had last Saturday by many taking advantage of the open day on the new Chch Northern Motorway corridor. For a brief few hours, walkers, bikers, scooters, dogs, etc got the opportunity to check out all the fresh tarmac on offer – and quite a few took up that opportunity…
{Hint to event organisers: a few more portable cycle ramps over the various motorway barriers would have made life a lot easier to get yourself around…}
Going forward of course, we will be limited on our bikes to just the adjacent parallel pathway instead. But overall that looked to be quite a good facility (connecting all the way across the Waimak!); I will do a full post at some point introducing you to its features.
