Next Sat 24th Jan, the annual Kite Day will be held out at New Brighton beach from 12-4pm; come along to check out an amazing array of kites of all shapes and sizes! The regular New Brighton seaside market will also be happening from 10am – 2pm that day, with a mix of live entertainment, delicious food, a great variety of stalls, and other activities.
As part of the festivities, Spokes Canterbury will be offering a free bike valet service for those who choose to bike to the events. You may recall other ones run by them in the past at various events. Basically, several Spokes volunteers will be on hand to take your bike and park it in a secure area nearby. You get a numbered tag, which you can then hand back on your return to collect your bike. Simple! We hope to see you there…
