You may recall that the wonderful folks at the Ministry of Awesome held a bike rack design competition. After many entries, short-listing, and public voting, a winner was found in Jonathan Hall’s koru-inspired design. And just the other night the newly constructed design was unveiled at the Re:START Container Mall (you can watch the CTV News video).

The racks are both stylish and functional (not something we can say about all bike racks), with the koru design symbolising the regrowth of the city. As a bonus, the racks were also complemented by the addition of a nifty Dero Fixit bike repair stand kindly donated by Bicycle Ventures. So if you find you need to make a couple of minor adjustments to your ride while in town, just head for the koru bike-racks.
PS: Hey Re:START Mall – how about telling people on your website where they can find bike parking if coming to pay a visit? Not everyone comes by car…
