The Antigua st bridge by the Boatsheds has been sorely missed since the earthquakes. It has been removed for restoration work for ages. It has now been lifted back into place along with some concrete panels on its surface and at each end. It will still be late April until it is all finished but will make life much easier when it is done. Shall we have a party when it is opened?
FYI that big apartment block in the background is the Bone Marrow Cancer Trust, http://www.bmct.org.nz/
They’re a trust that provide accommodation to patients and families at the Hospital.
Here is the SCIRT story with a bit of detail about the hows whys and wherefores. http://strongerchristchurch.govt.nz/article/antigua-footbridge-resuming-duties-april
