It’s already halfway through May, but I thought it was important to let you know about three interesting biking-related events coming up very soon in May:
- On Tue 25th May from 6-7pm, local cycle advocacy group Spokes Canterbury will be holding their Annual General Meeting at Pegasus Arms Tavern (Oxford Tce). As well as the standard AGM formalities, there will also be a guest speaker and a chance for a few nibbles afterwards. So come and find out what Spokes is up to – all welcome!
- The first screening on the 18th is already sold out, but you can still get tickets for the second Chch screening of the Big Bike Film Night on Fri 28th May from 7.30-10.00pm. Come and watch an inspiring and entertaining collection of short biking-related films from around the world – always an interesting mix…
- Are you wondering about what are your sustainable options for getting around in the future? Then come along to Moving around a 21st century city, a free public expo on Sun 30th May from 1-4pm at TÅ«ranga (central library). Learn more about electric vehicles, scooters, bikes, buses, and talk to local users.
A reminder too that another activity to put in your calendar now is this year’s Winter Solstice Bike Ride on the evening of Mon 21st June – more details to come…
Will we see you at some of these events?
Winter Solstice ride is a lot of fun – 100% recommended. Great for kids too.
