The fossil fuel free multisport is happening this Sunday 17th starting 7.45 am from the corner of Armagh and Barbadoes st (details here). You could join us for a ride or come for a picnic at the very pleasant reserve near the motorway bridge which you can access by turning left on the gravel road just before the Marshlands Road bridge. The kayak leg is timed to arrive around midday. I took my new kayak towbar prototype for a test drive yesterday to make sure it’s up to the job and it performed very well on the bumpy way out to New Brighton for a splash in the surf. There were some nice newly sealed sections with a NW tailwind made for some very pleasant biking. This towbar version was made from our old clothesline but I’m thinking of making some aluminium ones.
