Spokes and Frocks on Bikes organised a cycling float for the Santa parade Sunday which was great fun. I managed to set the record for my longest ever pedal powered vehicle at just over nine meters, breaking my record from last year by more than a meter. It’s also the first time the armchair trailer was put into use and proved to be very popular. While some caution was required turning sharp corners and going through Hagley Park bollards, the vehicle was not too difficult to handle, and even managed a few u-turns during the parade on Riccarton Road.
