I always try to gain notoriety by having the most irritatingly obnoxious bike lights imaginable but two 1750 lumen lights are not enough, I now intend to get three fan cooled Immolent military torches fixed to a special frame and a powerful red laser for the back light so that I can even be seen from space.

Yes, some bike lights are either too bright or not adjusted correctly.

Having a light which has switchable high and low beams would reduce the problem. My bike has this function and it’s very useful.

In my opinion, helmet “see” lights are particularly dangerous and should not be used in urban areas.

They are dangerous to oncoming cyclists especially the elderly ones like me (78). I see spots in front of my eyes after an encounter and find it hard to see properly for quite a few seconds afterwards. I have to say from my very unscientific research that men seem to be the main offenders
