I've noticed whenever I cross it that it doesn't update for a short time after.

I have wondered whether some software sends an update back to a central hub and then updates, rather than the other way around.

That’s interesting to read . Today Wednesday Wheelies ( route # 135 - 11 people - 11am ) rode through. The count displayed on approach was 551. I was first to go past the counter itself , followed quickly by three others. Looking back, the counter hadn’t changed from 551. I could see a bit further on, after approx 10 had ridden through that it as showing 556.

Calibration time perhaps ?
