As always, garbage data in gets garbage results out. Wellington having 500km of bike lanes? Auckland having 9% mode share? I don&#039;t think so. Also a very warped understanding of cycle safety based on fatals per capita, not by how much cycling is done in each country (eg Netherlands has 200 cycling fatals a year but is clearly safer than NZ&#039;s 5-10 a year). 

Christchurch gets left out of these ratings because no-one thinks to check what the second largest city in NZ might be like - Currently working to try to change that...]]></description>
