I was mostly just commenting on the map and the selection of routes, although I can confirm that the QEII path is longer (for my route, I measured 2 kms more) than New Brighton Road; it ends up taking me the same amount of time though. Foliage is slightly improving in places. Will just keep submitting Send Snap Solve until it all gets done.

At the roundabout where Innes Road joins QE II Drive the new path being built will be a big improvement for a distance. But the rest of the path between Marshland Road to Hills Road ( via Innes ) definitely needs work. Linking it in to a new cycle lane on Innes Road going west would be a smart move. As would some paint and signage at the intersection to guide anyone riding east along Innes Road on to the shared path ( requires crossing the road at some point ). So much to do, so little time, but obviously completing the CNC is what takes precedence. Pity.

From my commuting days to New Brighton from Rugby Park the QE II Drive path option was about 1km longer and took an extra 5 minutes than using Shirley and NB roads. Whilst more enjoyable for the most part, the path is not in good condition at places and there is much foliage to contend with. Not sure what your final paragraph means though; yes the path on the north side of Travis Road is good- at Anzac Drive there are new bike/pedestrian signals to continue along Travis Road , or turn left into Frosts Road to use the good path provided northbound.
Waiting for 2 crossings at Burwood/ QEII Drive intersection can take a while. To continue across to the eventual shared path on Travis Road ( south side ) heading east can work if you are aware that traffic turning from Parnwell, Basset or Baynes St is not likely to be looking for cycle traffic on their left, so not really advisable, although nothing to say you can’t.
I used to move on to QE II Drive heading east from the shared path 100 metres before the Burwood Road lights and carefully approach the intersection mindful of left turning traffic crossing my path. Too busy to do that now, and the new safety barriers prevent the manoeuvre entirely. Perhaps for the best.

It's not the only one with speed humps, there are similar neighbourhood greenways on the Uni Cycle, Papanui Parallel, and Quarrymans Trail.

The DEMP cycle infrastructure in Mairehau/St Albans will mostly consist of paint-only cycle lanes, with the occasional greenway west of Cranford, but no physical separation (the only exception being the link between the CNC path and the Papanui Parallel through the Rutland reserve). On Innes Rd, it will end up being little more than there already is anyways. It might be slightly misleading to include that in the map as a consulted cycleway, given that the map doesn't show any other paint-only cycle lanes.
On the other hand, there is a shared path on the north side of Travis Rd east of Burwood Rd. I'd actually recommend taking that to New Brighton, because you can use the traffic lights at the Travis Rd/Burwood Rd intersection to get to/from the north side of Travis Rd to the QEII path rather than having to take your chances at the unsignalized Anzac roundabout.

Whats surprising is the low number of submissions for the Rapanui shag rock route. Given there have been ongoing issues with the layout post construction and are not addressed it shows there is a biased view on this route. It is also the only route to have spped humps immediately off the four avenues for atleast he first two blocks whereas all other routes are separated.
