A great reminder of what we still need all these years later.

Rumor is that Council thinks they have done all they can for people who cycle with the MCR's. The local networks to tie it all together will just have to wait. Public Transport needs to get the money now. Sounds a lot like penny pinching so we can have two incomplete transport systems which don't actually serve people's needs.
Meanwhile unsafe projects which put people on bikes into "kill zones" continue.
The Linwood Transport Hub proposal out for consultation until 4 December offers a non solution for both bus and bicycle riders. http://www.spokes.org.nz/2019/11/linwood-public-transport-hub-due-4-12/

The 12 days of Christmas have stretched a bit...... now 12 years of Christmas’s
and then some. A new born in 2012 should be able to ride to the school of their choice as they approach teenagehood, safely and enjoyably. The missed generation of children on bikes will now be an enclosed blip, not an open ended travesty. A gem of a story, thank you Jim and Friday Flashback. How many other regulars had also missed this one ?
