In reply to Emma. Our Space offers that central government has increased funding for PT while providing no details as to adequacy for either capital development or operating. Much of the expense would fall on ratepayers. Whether it would be a net savings over what is currently spent on roading would depend upon whether it succeeds in moving lots of drivers onto the bus/train.

If you are concerned about urban sprawl, check out the Urban Development Strategies over the years, Ask the councils for a business case/economic analysis including transport external costs for any one of them. Ask them today, who is funding the costs of the previous versions, who is going to fund this version, and where is their analysis.
