					<description><![CDATA[At the risk of sounding a tiny bit underwhelmed by this announcement,            ( it seems to be little more than affirmation of funding already expected to continue to roll out the current MCP programme)  a ‘wow’ announcement could have read something like. 

Govt recognises the  already emerging and future benefits of the MCR project currently underway for Christchurch and promises to fill in the obvious gaps in the near future.  Preliminary planning will be funded  for a future route to service the NE suburbs of east St Albans,  Shirley and Burwood , allowing a safer cycling route into the central city comparable in service to the other already completed routes.]]></description>
