Fantastic observation Rob. I lived in Canada for a few years, and over there there is nothing more quintessentially Canadian as Tim Horton's Coffee. 'Timmy's' as it's affectionately known is a Canadian institution and considered the corner-stone of any local community.

A rather striking observation over there was how those Coffee-Loving Canucks accessed their beloved Timmy's... http://stcroixcourier.ca/newspics/n-jg-tim%20hortons-1026.JPG

Virtually nobody cycled and the drive-thru line up often encroached onto the roadway.

Driving, Coffee and Cold Weather - It's a Canadian thing ..eh?

Too right! I love a cuppa. Call me down-market but I carry a small screw top Kleen Kanteen thermos to drink on the bus. I find the thermos superior to a travel mug as there is no spillage and, most importantly, no grit on the lip, nothing worse then having to chew that first sip.

When I do spring at a cafe, my favorite is the Addington Coffee Co-op on Lincoln road. That place is sweet.
