Good reminders, I had an unexpected experience with a private driver Riccarton roundabout a week or so back, small 4wd jeepie thing, got his numberplate, roundabout was empty at 9 am when I entered to go up Riccarton Road. Basically he sped through behind me and clipped curb Nancy's/ hotel side, a couple of metres ahead of me by that point. I kept thinking of my ankle crushed at that point and left shoulder etc. Just very bad driving but left me a little shaken as I had been quite relaxed.

Last year I was cycling on the John's Rd Sawyers Arms roundabout and when I entered the roundabout is was empty. After I entered a branded company car accelerated aggressively and almost hit me. It was pretty clear that he must have noticed me and I got his plate and emailed the company and told them what happened to me. They apologised profusely and told me that had verified my story (GPS data?) and that the driver would likely face consequences for this. If you really have a genuine complaint you should voice it as it might help other cyclists. Keep it real and factual and reasonable people or companies will have a willing ear.

Sent a screenshot from my cycle cam to a truck company after one of their drivers cut across me then stopped in the cycle lane on Linwood Avenue. It went to their CEO and resulted in them requesting the full video for use in driver training from a cyclist point of view. Very constructive! I've also used cycle cam footage to demonstrate many situations where infrastructure is not being used as intended which has resulted in many changes (sometimes takes a bit of badgering, but all as objectively and constructively as possible )
