Chch Tweed Ride – Sat 29th Sep

September 26, 2012 by Lennyboy in Events, People riding bikes with 2 Comments

Looking very styley…

OK all you retro-philes in Christchurch! The Christchurch Tweed Riders have a ride coming up on Saturday 29th of September. The riders are meeting at the Birdlings Flat turn-off on SH75 at 11am, riding leisurely along the Railtrail to Little River, partaking of tea and cakes and some hijinks at Little River, riding back to Birdlings and then stopping off in Tai Tapu on the way back to Chch for some well-earned beverages at the pub.

All welcome. Only rules: no carbon and no lycra. Tweedish attire preferred.

Tally Ho!

This should be great fun and what a great venue. Sadly I”m running a community swapa event that day in Halswell so won’t be able to make it – but you never know maybe I”ll pick up some clothes suitable for next years ride!

Having only moved to Chch recently I was unaware of the tweed riders. I am sadly already booked on Saturday but you can bet I’ll be along, in my tweed, to the next one.
